The tax inspectors found irregularities at two-thirds of the traders in two popular shopping centres selling products from the Far East in Budapest. The retailers more than half of the cases concealed their income – the National Tax and Customs Office (NAV) told MTI on Wednesday.
During the last weekend hundreds of finance guards and officers carried out mystery shoppings at the same time, then revealed their identities at a time. The checks will continue, so in addition that the vendors can expect high fines, the also risk their businesses to be closed in case of repeated offense – the NAV added. (MTI)
