Millions HUF worth cigarette catches on the highway
The Finance guards of the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) seized 16 million HUF worth cigarettes without tax stamps on the M1 motorway in Komárom-Esztergom county in recent days – the organization informed MTI on Monday.
According to Rozs Viktor, Head of Communication of the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV), a total of 1,750 cartons of cigarettes were found in two cars with German number plates. Both cars were driven by foreigners. They did not make any attempts to hide the smuggled goods, that were just covered up with a blanket. (MTI)
