Beekeeping Association is expected to have the worst acacia honey harvest in the last fifty years
He added that acacia honey was not produced not only in Hungary, but also in the surrounding countries, as a result of which the world purchase price of acacia honey increased by 50 percent in two weeks. Almost 80 percent of Hungary’s acacia stock has been frozen, he said, noting that the plant’s first bud gives nectar, so early frosts have done a particularly bad job of honey production. (MTI)
