Eggs are getting even more expensive
Like other products and food, the price of eggs can also rise in the autumn and winter months. The current price of around HUF 65-70 can be slowly forgotten, reports kemma.hu.
A huge uncertainty has developed in the egg market, said Norbert Káhn, commercial director of Gyermelyi Zrt. As he said, feed costs – which are decisive in the cost of eggs – are increasing month by month, and due to the disappointing corn yields and the also not very bright sunflower crop prospects, experts are calculating a further increase.
When the corn and corn that have already been imported run out, buyers can expect a drastic increase. In the case of grain, the higher price of the new crop has already appeared in the costs. The weak forint exchange rate, rising fuel prices and soaring energy prices can all contribute to further price increases.
In the meantime, a decrease in supply is also inevitable, as smaller issuers cannot keep up with the cost of financing, and the narrower supply in itself is a price-increasing factor. According to some estimates, the price of eggs per piece may reach HUF 100 by the end of autumn, kemma.hu reports.
