In March, producer prices for vegetable products increased and producer prices for meat products decreased in Germany
Producer prices for plant-based food products rose in March due to high demand, while meat prices fell in Germany, according to a report released on Monday by Destatis, the federal statistical office.
Producer prices for agricultural commodities rose 0.2 percent year-on-year and 4.6 percent month-on-month in March.
Within this, however, there was a significant difference in the development of producer prices for food products of plant and animal origin. While prices for agricultural agricultural products rose 13.9 percent year-on-year in March, those for animal products fell 7.7 percent. (MTI)
