Retail sales in the Czech Republic fell by 8.9 percent in March
In March, retail sales in the Czech Republic fell by 8.9 percent year-on-year; In February, growth reached 7 percent – the Czech Statistical Office announced in Prague.
The sharp decline in March is the result of the Czech government’s restrictive measures introduced due to the coronavirus pandemic. Adjusted for calendar effects, the March decline was 9.3 percent. (Kokes János, MTI)
