Hungarian-French-Belgian program to promote fruit and vegetable consumption
The European Fresh Team program in Hungary primarily aims to reach teenagers and parents between the ages of 30 and 50. Survey data also justify the need to increase consumption, with an average of only 304 grams of vegetables and fruit per capita per day consumed domestically, while the World Health Organization (WHO) recommendation is 400 grams. From Hungary, the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) participates in the organization of the program, which was joined by, among others, Interfel, the French interbranch organization for fruit and vegetables, and the Belgian agency for the promotion of quality agriculture, Apaq-W.
