Urgent measures are needed to prevent the logistics sector, which plays an essential role in defense, in supplying the population and maintaining the economy, in the short term.
Gridlocks around unpaid bills, dismissals of drivers, waiting hours due to border controls and quarantining of drivers are already causing serious problems for the industry, while the volume of vital shipments – food, medicine, protective equipment – is increasing. The Logistics Reconciliation Forum (LEF), which brings together logistics organizations, summarized the five most pressing tasks and solutions.
