Lekkerland provides a full scope of services for the Hungarian convenience market, using numerous channels. Lekkerland has 1600 clients in Hungary, including petrol stations, industrial kitchens, retail outlets. Their assortment is composed of approximately 3500 items. They achieved sales of EUR 13 million, with 110 employees in 2005. Lekkerland is able to serve different types of clients and to adapt its services to the needs of local retailers as well as international and regional chains. They represent a unique combination of logistics and other services, which enables them to be a reliable and flexible partner for international and regional clients. For Lekkerland, wholesale is more than selling in bulk. They supply their partners with individually compiled stocks and act as a kind of intermediary between manufacturers and retailers, helping innovation. As a result of the unique logistic concept regulated by quality assurance systems, Lekkerland serves 1600 clients in Hungary with a fleet of 19 own vehicles. State of the art warehousing and transport solutions ensure that their service is as reliable as possible. Lekkerland offers long term and reliable co-operation for its partners, with services continuously adapted to market changes. Consulting and shelf image design for clients are among their services for retailers. Four key account managers and 11 sales reps keep contact with clients. It is their objective to allow useful experience accumulated in a specific market to be shared with organisations in other countries. Lekkerlend activities are based on the “Think globally – act locally” principle. They have individual strategies for every country, which is coherent with the operation of the whole organisation. Lekkerland GmbH & Co. KG intends to introduce RFID technology in all of its European operations, joining GS1 Germany Service Centre and the EPC Global network. Lekkerland will begin pilot projects and tests regarding RFID technology in Germany, first focusing on taking deliveries. By converting to the SAP-LES warehouse management system, they have established the preconditions for adapting the RFID system in December 2005. Lekkerland will also introduce its European IMS, which includes the ISO 9001 quality assurance system and HAACP.
