NAV found cold cuts and fruits delivered without refrigeration in the heatwave
The tax inspectors found more than six hundred kilograms of cold cuts, transported without refrigeration in the heatwave, in a van heading from Budapest to Nagykanizsa on the Somogy county section of the M7 highway, the National Tax and Customs Office (NAV) announced on Thursday.
During the inspection of the vehicle transporting various fruits and meat products, it became apparent that despite the third-degree heat alarm, the van did not have cooling or internal insulation. The financial inspectors notified the employees of the government office, who classified the shipment as risky, and therefore ordered the destruction of the meat products, they wrote.
