Last minute Easter shopping: half-price products and an immediate HUF 2,500 discount at Tesco
Before Easter, Tesco is going even further with its favorable offers: not only has it increased the purchase limit for price-stop products, and even canceled it in the case of eggs, but it has also significantly reduced the price of important ingredients for large family breakfasts and lunches for the week of Easter. In addition, the department store chain also gives users of the Clubcard application a significant HUF 2,500 discount on the total amount of their Easter shopping.
Tesco recently announced that it has raised the purchase limit for price-stop products for the period before the holiday, and has canceled it in the case of eggs, so customers do not have to compromise on quantity during Easter shopping.
“Easter is also a time for family meals together, so it is very important that our customers have access to basic food at a good price and of good quality. Our various Easter discounts also reflect our strategy that Hungarian families do not need a reduction in the price of a single product. From April 5, some cheeses are more than 50 percent off, Hungarian lettuce is a 35 percent discount, an essential part of Easter breakfasts, and Hungarian radishes can be purchased at almost half price. Braided bread is 40 percent cheaper, Easter meats, such as fresh pork loin, 20 percent, fresh Hungarian pork side 18 percent, while festive sweets and drinks are around 30 percent cheaper, and if you buy five champagnes, customers can take home the cheapest one for free. There is a 35-44 percent discount on baking ingredients, and festive decorations are available at a 50 percent cheaper price on the Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday before Easter.”
– said Nóra Hevesi, head of communications at Tesco Hungary.
