KSH: The rise in agricultural producer prices slowed down in September

The four-month acceleration in the rise in agricultural producer prices came to a halt in September: purchase prices were 23.6 percent higher than a year earlier, 0.5 percentage points lower than in August, according to the latest data from the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

Farm prices have stopped rising, while eggs have risen 14 percent year-on-year

Producer prices of crop and horticultural products were on average 32.3 percent higher than in September last year, an increase of 0.4 percentage points on August. The rate of increase in the prices of live animals and animal products stopped at 7.9 percent, of which the rise in the purchase price of live animals slowed down by 0.4 percentage points to 5.8 percent, while the rate of increase in the prices of animal products accelerated by 0.8 percentage points to 12.2 percent.
