KSH: export and import declined in March
In March, the value of exports in euros decreased by 3.5, while imports by 3.2 percent compared to a year before, the trade balance surplus declined by 58 million euros to 952 million euros – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced its second estimate on Thursday.
Compared to the first estimate released in early May, export increased by 0.1 percentage points, while import fell by the same amount, so the surplus became 14 million euros lower.
In the first quarter, exports in euros increased by 1.6 and imports by 2.4 percent, compared the same period of last year, while the trade surplus of 2.459 billion was 122 million less than a year before. (MTI)
