KSH: in March, the foreign trade deficit was 708 million euros

The foreign trade deficit in goods was 708 million euros in March, the adjusted volume of exports decreased by 6.4 percent and that of imports by 4.4 percent compared to February, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Thursday based on its second estimate.

 

Foreign trade balance deteriorates further

In March, the value of exports in euros increased by 8.8 percent and that of imports by 25 percent.

The foreign trade balance deteriorated by 1.6 billion euros, compared to March last year. The data released by the KSH in March this year is 205 million euros worse than in the first estimate at the beginning of May.

Exports fell by 5.6 percent in March, while imports rose by 0.6 percent. (MTI)
