KSH: the annual rise in the purchase price of pork has stopped in May
In May, the purchase price of live pigs decreased by 3.3 percent compared to a year before, while in the previous month it increased by another 21.1 percent. The reason for the decrease in May is the high base – according to the latest data of the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
As a result, the purchase price of live animals was on average 1.8 percent lower in May than a year before, despite the fact that the purchase price of beef increased by 5.0 percent and the annual decrease in poultry prices decreased by 1.5 percentage points to 1.2 percent. (MTI)
