KSH: agricultural producer prices rose by 20.7 percent in September
In September, the producer prices of agricultural products rose by 20.7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. Increase from January to September was 10.9 percent, while the agricultural production input prices were 5.6 percent higher than in the the first nine months of 2011 – the Central Statistics Office announced on Wednesday.
Last year in the first nine months the agricultural producer prices increased by 28.5 percent, increase was 14.1 percent in case of animal products, and 37.1 percent in case of plants. In September 2011 the price level of plant products was 19.2 percent the price level of animal products was 12.7 percent higher than in the previous year. Agricultural producer prices increased by 16.9 percent overall. (MTI)
