KSH: GDP grew by 2.3 percent in the third quarter
Hungary's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 2.3 percent in the third quarter compared to the same period of the previous year – based on an initial estimate by the Central Statistics Office (KSH) released on Friday.
The increase was primarily due to the growth of the industry (including mainly the automotive industry) and due to the growth of trade, and the growth in the accommodation and catering industry.
According to the calendar effect adjusted and extraordinary factor filtered data, the economic performance grew by 2.2 percent in the third quarter, compared to the same period of the previous year, after the second quarter’s 2.4 percent and the first quarter’s 3.1 percent growth. (MTI)
