Who will be the greener?
Students of a Salgótarján school won the “Who will be the greener?” waste deposit competition. The hard-working students’ reward will be a half a million forint excursion thanks to Tesco.
Tesco created the Who will be the greener" environmental competition between 6 March and 16 April in for general and high school students with the participation of five cities (Ajka, Kaposvár, Salgótarján, Siófok and Szeged). The prize ceremony took place on May 15, with valuable prizes. Tesco-Global Stores Ltd. introduced the redemption of PET bottles and aluminum cans for money in 37 new cities since January 2009 and 13 new cities since May. The service is planned to continue to extend every store. Redemption is an important part of the company's waste comprehensive environmental policy, which aims to encourage the customers in an environmental practises and liveable environment.
