Sustainability is an expectation in 2022
Customers, regulators and investors alike are putting pressure on companies to switch to less polluting and sustainable operations as soon as possible.
The word “sustainability” that is thrown around so often these days covers a lot of things. It equally affects climate change, zero emissions, waste and by-product management. While we are learning new and new terms to be able to formulate and face environmental challenges, it is worth familiarizing ourselves with some abbreviations. One such example is ESG, which consists of the initial letters of the English equivalents of the words “environment”, “society” and “corporate governance”. ESG is becoming more and more integrated into corporate vocabulary and is slowly seeping into the common language as well.
“Everyone can do a lot to preserve our natural environment for future generations”
– says Suba Levente, head of K&H’s sustainability program.
“However, the biggest responsibility lies with large companies”
– he added, pointing out that the goal of the K&H Group is to create a business environment that is sustainable and at the same time does not exclude anyone from development. In the spirit of this, the Bank dedicates the month of September to sustainability.
“We would like sustainability not to remain just a fashionable term, but for everyone to take a series of very practical measures. Turning off the decorative lighting of our headquarters and customer points for a month in September is an attention-grabbing action, but we are constantly working to reduce our own and our customers’ ecological footprint.”
he added.
