K&H: pessimism and optimism at the same time: what about young people’s pay?
Although net pay for 20-year-olds has increased by 7.8 percent this year, only 23 percent of working young people expect a pay increase of more than 3-5 percent over the next year, according to representative research for the K&H Youth Index. True, this proportion is considered high in the history of the survey, with the majority, 49 percent of those affected, still anticipating a smaller wage increase in the future, and 24 percent do not expect a thicker “envelope”.
