The transaction fee resulted in less ATM use and the spread of cash payment
Although most customers are aware of the fact of the introduction of transaction fee, but only a few people know the specific rate of the fee – GfK Hungária’s research about the introduction of the transaction tax shows. The population responded to the fee price increase with the reduction in the number of card transactions primarily.

According to the datas, three out of four Hungarians knew about the transaction free increase during the summer, and this rate has not increased significantly in September. The 30-49 year age group and higher educated people were better informed about the introduction of the transaction fee, as well as active employees and who have bank connections.
