Two thousand volunteers are taking place in the “Giving is a joy!” Action
The volunteers of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service are collecting donations in 162 stores of the SPAR Group since 16 December. Last year, 262 tons of perishable foods were collected for the needy. This year, the number of collected donations during the first two days showed that until 21 December, a record number of donations are expected.
Ördög Nóra, the hostess of SPAR and Maczelka Márk (Head of Communications at SPAR) also became involved in the donation campaign.
The Hungarian Maltese Charity Service’s two thousand volunteers are working on that the 19th edition of the “Giving is a joy!” campaign to be succesful.. The acceptance and the success of the charity campaign is rising year after year: last year's collection exceeded the 2013 campaign with 20 tonnes. Since the beginning of the “Giving is a joy!” campaign more than two million kilograms of perishable food products reached almost 1.1 million people in need in Hungary.
