Consumer sentiment improved somewhat in March in the euro area
In March, consumer sentiment improved in the euro area on the basis of a survey published by the European Commission’s Economic and Financial Directorate on Thursday.
Based on preliminary data from DG ECFIN (Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs), the consumer sentiment index rose by 0.2 percentage points in the euro area to minus 7.2 points in March, from the minus 7.4 points of the previous month. The market expected a slightly higher minus 7.1 points for March. (MTI)
