German GfK consumer sentiment index improved in January
The GfK economic research institute’s German consumer sentiment index for January increased compared to the previous month.
According to GfK, the consumer sentiment index for January increased by 9.4 points from the 9.3 points of December.
The index decreased for four consecutive months until December. Analysts predicted the same value for January as in December.
The components of the index as well as the economic and income expectations indicators improved, while the propensity to buy has shown a high value. (MTI)
