German retail improves
While the German economy shrank by 5 percent last year, the retail sales declined less than expected, on an annual basis and December turnover expanded, compared to November.
After the 1.7 percent decline of November, the Christmas of the German customers did not affected by the economic crisis. Retail trade turnover expanded by 0.8 percent in. However, analysts have called attention that the growth of private consumption does not show a clear trend – reports Világgazdaság Online, after AFP.
