The Etesd az Eszed school challenge, which educates on the basics of a sustainable lifestyle, is starting again!
Nestlé for Healthier Kids and Okos Doboz’s gap-filling joint health education initiative, the Etesd az Eszed program, has been helping children learn the basics of a healthy and sustainable lifestyle with playful, experience-based content for the fourth year. Starting this year, the Auchan Foundation is also supporting the implementation of the program, so even more students can get this important knowledge along with the news of the 2024 challenge. Students across the country can participate in this initiative between November 4 and December 1, where they can win valuable prizes in addition to knowledge.
The original purpose of the Etesd educational program Eszed, launched in 2021, is to draw children’s attention to the importance of a balanced diet. Nestlé Hungária implemented the program together with Okos Doboz, who since 2011 have been involved in the development of pioneering content based on digital education. In the jointly created program, participating students and teachers alike get access to digital educational content, and a separate methodological guide is prepared for teachers to help them in their work. Etesd az Eszed expands with new content every year, this year, for example, a sustainability topic was added thanks to the Auchan Foundation and ALTEO.
The children participating in the program can measure their knowledge through playful online tasks during the challenges after learning the information received in a manner appropriate to their age group and knowledge level. The success of the program is clearly demonstrated by the fact that it has reached a total of more than 10,000 children throughout the country and beyond the border, who have solved more than 370,000 tasks so far.
“In the long term, we strive to find as many professional partners as possible for the further development of the program, for whom it is just as important to educate children for a healthy lifestyle and sustainability as we do
– said Dóra Szűcs, managing director of Okos Doboz. He added:
In this spirit, we are very pleased that the 2024 challenge can be realized with the support of the Auchan Foundation, who are also committed to expanding the knowledge of the younger generation.”
