Invoicing with value limits
Those businesses that don’t follow this year’s tax rule changes are risking serious fines – warn the experts of MAZARS. In the past the tax number of a product’s buyer or a service’s user only had to be indicated on the invoice if the sum of the tax shifted was at least HUF 1 million. From 1 January 2017 this threshold is only HUF 100,000. According to the law, the new limit only applies to invoices issued on 1 January 2017 or after this date.
Dóra Kardos, tax manager of Mazars Kft. called our attention to the fact that there will be another invoicing related change this year: as of 1 July 2017, the limit of the domestic aggregate reporting obligation for invoices will also change, from the present HUF 1 million to HUF 100,000 in tax shifted.
