This year, it is not customary to farm and apply for support
At the GOSZ Szántóföld Professional Day organized as part of the 41st AGROMashEXPO and Agrárgép Show exhibition, the Deputy Secretary of State responsible for agriculture Anikó Juhász called it the most important task of the next weeks that producers are already aware of the support system of the new Common Agricultural Policy (KAP) by April, the date of submission of uniform applications.
In order to do this, the Ministry of Agriculture prepared the decrees containing the support criteria for the first pillar of the new CAP, at a fast pace since the adoption of the KAP Strategic Plan, i.e. last fall, and farmers will be able to apply for area-based subsidies based on these. This year, you should neither produce out of habit nor request support, but whoever makes a thoughtful decision can maintain or even increase their support in 2023 – pointed out Anikó Juhász. As he said, there are new elements in the Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy, among them new support options and primarily green obligations that all farmers should get to know and think about in time. Therefore, the Ministry of Agriculture, together with the National Chamber of Agrarian Economy, provides information to those interested in a country tour. According to the deputy state secretary’s information, farmers will be able to contact the village farmers and specialist advisers, their preparation is also an important part of the transfer of knowledge.
