The Consumer Confidence Index improved by 6 points in Hungary
The Consumer Confidence Index improved by 6 points to 58 points in October compared to April. Thus the indicator but is still far from the pre-crisis level. The improvement is in line with the positive international trends.
Nielsen’s Global Consumer Index improved from 77 points to 86 points in 54 countries, compared to the previous survey.
In Europe, the highest consumer confidence indexes are in Norway (110 points), Denmark (100) Netherlands (92). It is noteworthy that Poland and Russia(85-85) are also in the leading edge of our continent.
About the tendencies: in the tested 23 European countries, the consumer confidence index rose in 19 countries. Decreased in Denmark, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. Lithuania has not changed.
