In a new breeding process researchers are trying to speed up the creation of plant varieties that would allow the most important arable crops to produce crops up to six times a year – agrarszektor.hu wrote.

The new technique is aimed at breeding plant varieties that are able to survive climate change and can adequately supply the ever-growing population. Researchers have put the breeding of wheat, barley, peas, chickpeas and rape into the center of development process. (agrarszektor.hu)
