Lidl UK buy British pork

Schwarz Group-owned Lidl in the UK plans to switch all of its fresh pork supplies to British by the end of next month, and 40% of its bacon by February.

 According press informations the
discounter will also look to source 40% of its sausages from British
producers in the coming months. Previously, Lidl had sourced all of
its pig meat from European countries including Germany, Denmark and
the Netherlands. The retailer is also expected to increase the use of
the British Quality Standard Mark on its packaging.
