Lower grape yields, lower prices at the Szekszárd wine region
Experts expect lower quality and less grape harvest at the Szekszárd wine region than in previous years, where the harvest of Gamay has been started recent days.
According to winemakers interviewed by MTI, the lower yields are mainly due to the powdery mildew infection and due to the rainy weather.
Módos Ernő, winemaker, Grand Master of the Alisca Wine Order told that the already harvested rizlingszilváni and csabagyöngye had an expected quantity and quality, but less grapes can be harvested from other types. (MTI)
