GKI: the economic growth index reached a historic peak in July
In July, GKI’s economic growth index has reached a historic peak. During the 20 year history of surveys the index has never been as high as in July – the GKI Economic Research Co. told MTI.
According to an EU-funded study, the consumer expectations, however, have deteriorated slightly compared to June, although they still reflect a clear outlook.
According to the survey, the growth index rose from 3.2 points of June to 4.2 points, the business confidence index, which also peaked, rose from 9.5 to 11.3 points, and the consumer confidence index dropped from minus 14.6 to minus 15.9 in July. (MTI)
