GKI is less pessimistic about this year’s growth forecast
In its latest forecast released on Thursday, GKI Economic Research rejected the less pessimistic scenario outlined in its previous March forecast, which predicts a 3 percent decline in GDP, while easing its pessimistic scenario, which is likely to decline by 7 percent.
For the year as a whole, GKI expects a decline of 6 percent, assuming a decline in GDP of around 15 percent in the second quarter and around 5 percent in the second half. Last year’s GDP will probably only be reached by the Hungarian economy in 2022, they added. (MTI)
