ABC-branded sweets are being recalled due to choking hazards
The products called ABC Fruit Jelly Straws, or Zselés Tubusok Gümölcsízzel in Hungarian, are being recalled due to the risk of suffocation, the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) told MTI on Thursday.
The agency asks customers not to consume the 260-gram and 1,000-gram products, as there is a risk of choking due to the additives (E407 and E410) not permitted in jelly mini-cup sweets.
The importer of sweets from Taiwan is Asia Express Food BV in the Netherlands.
The notification of the products came from Belgium through the EU’s food and feed safety alert system (RASFF).
