Employment Service: the number of job seekers has reduced on an annual basis
The number of jobseekers decreased by 2.9 percent in December 2019, compared to the same period of last year. At the end of December, 234,900 jobseekers were registered at the National Employment Service (NFSZ).
The NFSZ said on its website that in December 2019, the proportion of registered jobseekers was 5.1 percent relative to the economically active population and 3.5 percent relative to the working age population. Győr-Moson-Sopron county still had the lowest value.
Last December, 38,600 jobseekers applied for registration at branch offices, with 9.8 percent registering for the first time. (MTI)
