FM: The Hungarian vine and wine sector is in a moment of impetus
The Hungarian vine and wine sector is under development, which is also supported by the fact that the Hungarian exports of wine was 26 percent more in volume and 18 percent more in value in the first five months of the year, than in the same period of the previous year – the Deputy Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) told at the 26th Budapest Wine Festival in Budapest.
Gál Péter said at the event, which took place between 7 and 10 September, that in the first five months, the volume of Hungarian wine exports reached 330 thousand hectoliters and the value reached 11.3 billion forints. Last year, the Hungarian wine exports amounted to about 750 thousand hectoliters, with a value of 27.3 billion forints – the Deputy Minister of State added. (MTI)
