EY: the total value of corporate acquisitions increased in the first half of the year
The total value of corporate acquisitions in Hungary in the first half of 2016 was close to 0.9 billion USD, which is an increase of 9 percent, compared to the same period of 2015 and 21 percent higher – than the value of the second half of last year – EY consultants told MTI on Monday.
According to surveys, the number of corporate mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in the first half of this year decreased slightly, compared to the same period of last year. While in the first half of 2015, 70 closed transactions were registered, this year 64. Compared to the second half of last year, the number of transactions, however, increased by 7 percent. (MTI)
