Manufacturer brands are robust
Shower gel retail sales, which amount to HUF 13 billion per year, declined by 2 percent in May 2010-April 2011 from the previous comparable period. Volume sales were down 4 percent on the approximately 10 million-litre market. Manufacturer brands boasted an 89-percent share of sales, just like a year earlier. Hypermarkets and drugstores realised nearly three quarters of value sales.
