Strong manufacturer brands among toothpastes
The annual toothpaste market’s value is HUF 12 billion. This January-April retail sales augmented by 3 percent but volume sales dropped 1 percent. Hypermarkets were responsible for 33 percent of value sales and drugstores’ share was even higher at 34 percent. Manufacturer brands are very strong: their share from value sales was 96 percent, although it dropped 1 percentage point from last year.
