Biofuels: the limitation would be beneficial for the livestock breeders
The Poultry Products Council (BTT) agrees with the European Union to repress the production of biofuels. The European Parliament adopted a position, that the use of conventional biofuels in transport by 2020, cannot be more than 6 percent, instead of the formerly planned 10 percent.
The European Parliament calls for restricting the use of conventional biofuels and calls for a shift to alternative sources for biofuels, such as algae or waste. MEPs took a position that would to restrict the upper limit of biofuels made of feed corn. In parallel they would accelerate the so-called second-generation biofuels, such as bioethanol made of waste. The changes aim to reduce household greenhouse gas emissions. (MTI)
