The winter seasonal check has started
Norbert Erdős, State Secretary for Food Chain Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, ordered a winter seasonal food chain inspection from 1 December. The aim of the campaign is for the authority to ensure that safe food is placed on store shelves and then in homes before the holidays, Norbert Erdős said. The Secretary of State stressed that in the special situation caused by the coronavirus, increased attention is paid to strict adherence to hygiene standards. The audit will run until the end of December and will cover popular holiday-related products. The purpose of winter seasonal inspections is to ensure that food safety and quality requirements are met in all areas of food production and distribution, even with increased pre-holiday turnover.
