Test period starts in new Alföldi Tej factory
Dairy company Alföldi Tej Kft. has completed building its new, HUF 15-billion cheese factory in Debrecen; soon a milk powder factory will be ready too. The cheese factory will process 250,000 litres of milk per day to make 8,000 tons of cheese a year – mainly Hungary’s favourite cheese variety, Trappist cheese. Thanks to the development, Hungary’s milk import – which amounts to almost 60,000 tons per year – can be reduced. //
