Seeing the breakdown of gross domestic product (GDP) in the second quarter released on Tuesday, analysts told MTI that they look to the next quarter with cautious optimism. They expect a faster recovery than previously assumed, which is not yet a positive annual growth figure, but the rate of decline may slow down significantly.

According to recently released detailed data from the Central Statistical Office (KSH), services contributed 6.8 percentage points, industry by 4.3 percentage points and construction by 0.7 percentage points to the 13.6 percent decline in GDP in the second quarter. On the consumption side, the balance of foreign trade accounted for a total of 7.7 percentage points, final consumption by 4.5 percentage points and gross accumulation by 1.4 percentage points.
