McDonald’s is coming to Siófok Plázs with a unique terrace built on the water
McDonald’s is expanding its domestic presence with a new music venue: Plázs is opening a “pop-up” restaurant in the heart of Siófok, right next to the main stage. The unit will welcome guests from June 6, and its special feature is that its terrace is built on water, a unique feature in Hungary.
The central element of the expansion is the McDonald’s pop-up restaurant, next to which an ice cream stand will also open, with Meki’s well-known ice cream range. However, the biggest attraction of the venue will certainly be the terrace built on the water, which offers a unique experience – the brand has never had a similar restaurant in Hungary before. The restaurant will not only be open during the evening concerts, but will also be open during the day, so beachgoers can also stop by for a burger or ice cream.
“Summer at Lake Balaton is always special, but this opening now opens up a new dimension in the guest experience. We are proud that for the first time in McDonald’s history in Hungary, we are welcoming guests with a terrace built on the water, where not only concertgoers but also beachgoers can enjoy their favorite Mekis flavors all summer long.”
– said Attila Kiss, the franchise partner operating McDonald’s restaurants in Siófok.
The relocation is also an important part of McDonald’s increasingly dominant musical presence, which is intended to strengthen the brand’s youthful, experience-focused image. As part of the musical activity, thousands of concert tickets are also being prepared for guests, which can be obtained with points collected in the MyMeki loyalty program.
“Music and social experiences are playing an increasingly important role in the life of McDonald’s in Hungary. Plázs Siófok is another iconic concert venue where we can be present – not only as a restaurant, but also as an experience. With the Meki® pop-up restaurant, the ice cream and the guest area built on the water, we create an atmosphere where our guests can really feel good.”
– added Dávid Aniot, Head of Brand Strategy and Consumer Experience at McDonald’s.
