Shops in downtown London are losing half a billion pounds a month

Analysts in London estimate that measures by the government to slow the spread of the omicron version of the coronavirus will cause more than half a billion pounds losses in revenue in the central shopping districts of major UK cities over the next month.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced this week that the government is asking anyone who can do it to work from home next week.
Also part of the multi-element package is that masks will be mandatory from Friday in most closed community institutions in England, including theaters and cinemas, and a vaccination certificate will be required from mid-next week to enter nightclubs and large events. (MTI)
