Domestic sales prices of the whole industry grew by 10.8%

The highest monthly price increase occurred in manufacturing of refined petroleum products (2.6%) which was mainly due to the price rise of the world market prices of oil and oil derivatives.

 

Domestic sales prices rose by 0.8% in
March 2008 compared to the previous month and were 10.8% higher than
in March 2007. Export sales prices measured in HUF decreased by 0.3%
compared to the previous month and increased by 2% compared to the
corresponding month of the previous year. Industrial producer prices
involving both domestic and export sales prices rose by 0.2% compared
to the previous month and went up by 5.7% compared to March 2007.

Domestic sales prices of the whole
industry grew by 0.8% in March 2008 compared to the previous month,
which figure was slightly higher than the monthly increase rate
measured in February (0.5%). Domestic sales prices of manufacturing
branches rose by 1% compared to the previous month. Prices of
manufacture of leather and leather products and that of other
non-metallic mineral products went up by 1.1%, which also exceeded
the price increase rate of manufacturing industry as a whole. Prices
of food products rose by 0.6% in March compared to the previous
month. Prices remained stable in manufacture of rubber and plastic
products. In manufacture of wood and wood products and that of pulp,
paper and paper products, publishing and printing the prices
decreased by 0.5%, while the prices of textile and textile products
diminished by 0.3%. In other branches of manufacturing industry price
increases varied between 0.1 and 0.7%. Representing a considerable
proportion in domestic sales, prices of electricity, gas and water
supply rose by 0.4%, which equals the figure measured in February.
