Eggs will stay expensive
Agricultural Business Research Institute (AKI) monitors and publishes trends in the world market of meat and eggs. Data from KSH and the Market Price Information System of AKI is worth taking a look at even before making short term market decisions. The quantity sold and the average price of eggs both show gradual decline in all size categories since the end of last year. The number of eggs hatched decreased in the second half of 2006 and production is expected to continue falling in the following months. According to a forecast by US agricultural experts about trends for the cattle market in 2007, production, consumption and trade are all expected to expand in 2007.
