University of Debrecen: A2 milk is the biggest innovation in the dairy industry in recent years
According to researchers at the University of Debrecen (DE), A2 milk is the biggest innovation in the dairy industry in recent years, as it causes fewer digestive complaints than marketed milks due to its specific protein structure. Researchers at DE have begun mapping cattle breeds that produce such so-called super milk – the institution announced on its website.
“In Hungary, we primarily consume A1 and A1-A2 beta-casein protein genotype milk, as the Holstein-Friesian cow, which is the number one dairy cattle in Europe and Hungary, produces such milk,” the statement quotes Béri Béla, a teacher in the Department of Animal Husbandry. (MTI)
