Decrease in retail sales in the world's largest economy
After eleven months, retail sales fell again in the United States. The trade ministry reported that the volume fell a monthly 0.2 percent, while analysts expected value of -0.7 percent.
According to the communication of the U.S. Commerce Department; retail sales declined slower than expected in May by 0.2 percent to 378.1 billion dollars.
The turnover decrease is partly due to the weakening demand in cars, partly because of the rising fuel prices – reports portfolio.hu.
